Last weekend, I had the joy of attending a floral workshop in Long Beach at my sister Saren’s studio, Sarenity Floral. It was one of those experiences that reminds you just how beautiful it is when women come together—each of us at different stages in life, bringing our own stories of motherhood, growth, and resilience.
The event was a Galentine’s flower workshop, hosted by Saren, and what made it even more special was that it was also a potluck-style gathering. Everyone brought something to share, and the table was filled with homemade treats, charcuterie boards, and the kind of food that brings people together. Between bites and blooms, we laughed, connected, and celebrated the simple joy of creating.
As I watched each woman arrange her flowers, I couldn’t help but notice how some arrangements were structured and intentional, while others were wild and free—a beautiful reflection of the hands that shaped them.
I’m also so excited to share that she has three upcoming floral workshops in Long Beach—perfect for anyone looking for a unique date night idea, a creative Galentine’s event, or a fun hands-on experience. You can click on each date to reserve your spot:
February 8 at 11 AM (Galentine’s Edition)
February 13 at 6 PM (Couples & Valentine’s Edition)
February 15 at 11 AM (Galentine’s Edition)
These flower arranging classes are such a thoughtful way to celebrate—because not only do you get to design a beautiful floral arrangement, but you also get to take it home. It’s an experience that lingers long after the workshop ends.
If you’re searching for a hands-on floral workshop near Long Beach, I highly recommend checking it out. Saren’s studio is in Signal Hill, just outside Long Beach, and she offers flower arranging workshops year-round. You can find more details and book your spot on her website here.
