There’s something about a garden at golden hour that just slows time down. Last weekend, we gathered to celebrate two big milestones for my sister Saren, her birthday and her engagement to Christian. And let me tell you, it was one of those days I’ll hold close for a long time.

When Saren mentioned wanting her engagement photos taken at Greystone Mansion & Gardens in Beverly Hills, I couldn’t say yes fast enough. As a photographer, I don’t often get to explore new-to-me spots in the city, so this was a treat. And if you’ve never been to Greystone, picture English gardens tucked away behind grand grey stone walls, with ivy climbing along the pathways and views that seem to stretch forever.

We arrived just in time for that soft, golden light that photographers dream about. The whole place felt like a tucked-away fairytale, quiet, romantic, full of old-world charm
Photographing Saren and Christian was a joy, not just because they’re family, but because you can see the ease and laughter between them. They’re the kind of couple that already shares those knowing glances, finishing each other’s thoughts and jokes. Christian is an Italian chef with a heart for good food and even better bread, and Saren owns Sarenity Floral, crafting beautiful floral designs while balancing a full-time job. They’re both creative, grounded, and full of heart.

This romantic garden engagement session at Greystone Mansion was more than just a photo shoot, it was a chance to slow down, to breathe it all in, and to honor this season of love and beginnings.
Saren and Christian, thank you for letting me be the one behind the lens. I hope these photos remind you of how it all started and how sweet the journey has been so far. I can’t wait to celebrate your double wedding (yes, you read that right!), watch you walk down the aisle, and of course, taste every bite of that incredible food.
